The use of this lightweight yet strong component, allows our engineers to optimize weight distribution within the clubhead to increase moment of inertia (MOI) and push the CG lower and further back, leading to improved distance performance and forgiveness.

The Black Ops Ultra-Lite Driver features a single rear weight position that promotes a low, deep center of gravity (CG) and high moment of inertia (MOI) in a lighter head design. The standard head weight is 189g with a default 12.5g weight, and additional weight options range from 179g to 196.5g, accommodating more players with diverse swing speeds. Lighter weight configurations can optimize performance for slower swing speeds by increasing clubhead speed, which for players with swing speeds under 100mph can result in greater overall distance.

Natural frequency optimization involves fine-tuning the inherent vibration patterns or resonances within the clubhead’s structure to enhance performance. This optimization aims to improve the driver’s feel, sound, and performance upon impact with the golf ball.
