Scottsdale, AZ (September 24, 2018) – As the east coast readied itself for Hurricane Florence, PXG was slated to celebrate the grand opening of its first standalone retail and fitting studio, PXG Chicago. The imminent damage to the Carolinas and Virginia was cause for both pause and action.
During his welcome address at PXG Chicago on September 13, 2018, company founder and CEO Bob Parsons asked the room to take a moment to think about those impacted by the winds and water of Hurricane Florence. He then announced a $250,000 gift to Team Rubicon as seed money, which helped to rapidly deploy emergency response teams during the worst part of the storm.
“Team Rubicon quickly coordinates and deploys highly trained military veterans as volunteers for disaster relief efforts,” Bob Parsons stated. “We supported Team Rubicon’s tremendous work during hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and we took immediate action to support them during Florence as well.”
Providing relief to those affected by natural disasters is Team Rubicon’s mission. By pairing the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders, medical professionals, and technology solutions, the organization mobilizes highly trained teams to provide the greatest impact possible.
“Team Rubicon’s ability to serve those impacted by Hurricane Florence would not be possible without the generosity of supporters like PXG,” said Jake Wood, cofounder and CEO of Team Rubicon. “Our volunteers are built to serve, and PXG’s investment in our mission enables veterans and first responders to help communities when they need us most.”
