Scottsdale, AZ (June 18, 2024)—PXG has rolled out an eye-catching new look in five of its most sought-after Battle Ready® II Putter models. The new PXG® Battle Ready® II Darkness® Putters present an all-black finish complimented by PXG’s iconic Darkness Insignia. Available in the Bat Attack®, Blackjack®, Brandon®, Closer®, and Hercules® putter designs, these striking putters deliver exceptional consistency and a custom configuration to suit every stroke.

With the introduction of a thin-walled hollow body, PXG Battle Ready II Darkness Putters reposition mass to the putter’s extreme perimeter, yielding a high MOI (~10% higher compared to the previous series) relative to the clubhead size. Proprietary S COR Technology, an extremely lightweight polymer, is injection molded into the hollow cavity—the material bonds to the face to dampen the sound and any harsh vibrations through impact. The structural support provided by the S COR material enables PXG to deliver golf’s thinnest putter face, 0.055″. This is advantageous to golfers because it dramatically enhances the forgiveness of the clubhead. 

PXG Battle Ready II Putters also feature Pyramid Face Pattern Technology. The aggressively milled pattern creates the soft sounds of an insert putter while maintaining the responsive feel of a solid, milled putter. The pyramid density supports consistent interaction with golf ball dimples, while the pyramid geometry delivers a satisfying sound.

Precision Weighting Technology is employed in the sole to dial in each putter further. Club fitters and consumers can use the weighting to alter the overall clubhead mass and influence launch conditions. Players who typically pull putts may benefit from adding heavier weights to the toe side of the putter, making it more difficult to close the face at impact. Battle Ready II Darkness Putters support four hosel configurations to suit any stroke – plumber’s neck, double bend, heel-shafted, and armlock. Select models also offer a center-shafted option.

The overall system – S COR Technology, ultra-thin face, Pyramid Face Pattern Technology, Precision Weighting Technology, and hosel option – reduces skid distance and creates optimal roll performance so golfers can achieve more consistency on the green. 

Additional customization is available with PXG’s collection of putter grips that accommodate various putting preferences and styles. The grips feature a polyurethane wrap around an injection-molded lightweight ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) foam core. The polyurethane wrap has an “X” pattern that improves texture and feel. The PXG Pistol Series, which includes three styles, varies the shape and profile while keeping a similar overall weight and size. The PXG Straight Series offers four styles with a consistent shape but varying overall weight and size.

Putter shaft upgrades are also available to complement the new series. Putters can be paired with either the two-tone or new, all-black PXG M16®Putter Shaft, which features an innovative multi-material composition, including a high modulus carbon fiber upper section and a steel lower section. The stability shaft features twenty-two steel wires interlaid down the outer ring of the shaft, each strategically positioned to enhance stiffness. The inner-most area is filled with a high modulus, 60T carbon fiber, stiffer than the standard modulus of 24T. Two rubber sheets sit sandwiched between the steel wires and carbon fiber. Unlike typical steel putter shafts, this unique composition helps to deliver more stiffness and stability while maintaining a soft yet solid feel.

Camp Pendleton, CA (October 26, 2023) – For the 12th consecutive year, Semper Fi & America’s Fund (The Fund) is partnering with The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation (The Foundation) and PXG (Parsons Xtreme Golf) for the Double Down for Veterans match campaign. Through the end of the year, The Foundation, with support from PXG, will generously match up to $10 million in donations made to The Fund. If met, this match will bring support of The Fund from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation and PXG to $100 million!

The Fund will celebrate its 20th anniversary this Spring. Since its inception in 2004, it has given more than $320 million in grants to support 31,000 combat-wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families.

One service member, Marine Sergeant Gabe Martinez, lost both his legs when struck by an IED in Afghanistan. When Gabe returned home to be reunited with his wife of three months, Semper Fi & America’s Fund stepped in to help him overcome the challenges of returning to civilian life and managing his injury. With support from The Fund, Gabe was provided adaptive equipment that enabled him to embrace an active lifestyle, rock climbing and running marathons. Today, The Fund still stands by Gabe’s side, offering lifetime support for him and his family.

Parsons issued the Double Down for Veterans challenge via a moving video address in which he discusses his own personal challenge with PTSD.

Since it began in 2012, the Double Down for Veterans match campaign has raised $193 million thanks to the thousands of donors who, year after year, have looked forward to participating in the annual match from The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation and PXG. These funds have helped support 31,000 service members, veterans, and military families in The Fund’s care.

Short game, short game, short game! Have you ever heard the saying, “drive for show, putt for dough”? Although hitting 300-yard drives down the fairway is part of the game we would all like to master, the real score-decipher happens on the green. We asked former PGA tour winner, Mike Nicolette, to share a couple of drills using alignment aids that can better your putting consistency and distance control.

WHY USE ALIGNMENT AIDS FOR PRACTICE?

Using alignment aids is a helpful and easy way to help your golf game improve in all aspects of the game. From full swing to putting, alignment sticks are universally used during practice sessions to better their alignment, swing technique, ball flight, etc. PXG will be the first to express the importance of golf-game improvement using alignment aids. WHY PRACTICE PUTTING?

Putting is the part of everyone’s golf game that can change their bogeys to pars and their pars to birdies. Strangely enough, putting is one of golf’s least practiced skill sets. Putting doesn’t have the excitement that driving or hitting irons bring, but it is one of the most sufficient ways to shave off strokes gained during a round. Former PGA Tour Pro and PXG Troop, Mike Nicolette, broke down a useful drill to help your putting game become more consistent.

PUTTING DRILL FOR CONSISTENCY

• This drill requires 3-5 balls
• Find a flat surface on the putting green (you can use this drill with right-to-left and left-to-right putts)
• Set up your station about 3-10ft from the hole
• Set two alignment aids parallel to each other facing the hole for alignment purposes about an inch wider than your putter head width apart
• Place your putter and ball in between the alignment sticks
• Align your feet and putter-head perpendicular to the alignment aids
• Keep the putter head “in the trough” as you practice these short putts
• Begin the putting drill and repeat to gain better putting consistency

PUTTING DRILL FOR DISTANCE CONTROL

• This drill requires 3-5 balls per station
• Find a flat surface on the putting green (you can use this drill with right-to-left and left-to-right putts)
• Place 3-5 balls at 10ft, 15ft, and 20ft
• Place alignment aids 2ft behind the hole
• Practice putting from each distance without going past the alignment aids
• Repeat the drill for better distance control

What You Can Expect During Your Club Fitting at PXG
